"All aspects of this property exceeded our expectations. Service, dining options, cleanliness, immaculate grounds and landscaping as well as comfort of the rooms. A great choice to stay there and we had 2 separate visits. "

"The service and food quality was outstanding. The grounds are superb and well looked after by the staff. We had a two night stay and are returning in 2 weeks. No hotel could provide you with a more comfortable accommodation."

"This hotel was probably very elegant years ago but the age is showing and repairs in the rooms and common areas are needed. The air conditioning was pretty weak and our room temperature went down but never got cool. The shower is quite small and bathroom tiles needs regrouping. The front desk staff were indifferent and not very welcoming. The spa and pools were nice but could be cleaner - there were some stains on the chaise cushions and the loungers. Breakfast was ok but not great for Italian standards - baked goods were kind of stale. The breakfast room was elegant and the servers do bring hot drinks to your table. Price for a night was also quite high - $300 euro for 2 adults and a child. "

"It as a comfortable hotel and our room was spacious. Bathrooms were excellent but beds were beyond firm and really hard. They need to repair front entrance round recessed carpet that several people were tripping over including myself."

"My reaction to the Europa Terme (ET) is maybe not the fairest. I was in Abano Terme for a 5 day professional conference. The conference hotel was full, so I looked for a reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of the conference hotel. The ET served my purpose - a reasonably priced hotel with all of the required facilities in downtown Abano Terme. The ET is not a modern hotel - it is a traditional hotel. Everything worked well, from the internet to the air conditioning. It is just not new. The staff was friendly and the provided breakfast was excellent. That said, the ET is not a business hotel. It is a spa-hotel that caters to Italian senior citizen tour groups. There is a big swimming pool, thermal baths, a spa, messages - all of which you pay extra for. There is a fixed price lunch and dinner, which seemed a bit pricy and so I did not partake. I also did not take advantage of any of the spa facilities and so cannot comment on them. The other guests seemed to be enjoying them and they came to the ET for the spa experience. If you are looking for a spa-thermal bath springs experience in Abano Terme, the ET seems to be a good place to go. If you are looking for a business business trip hotel, you might want to look elsewhere. Downtown Abano seems to have no convenience stores or small markets. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the ET. However, it is a 15-20 minute walk to reach a real market or convenience store. "

"We were planning to stay at this hotel for 2 nights to see the city of Padua, rest, swim in the pool, and maybe go to sauna, if time permits. As we were checking in, we thought this was a beautiful place. However, as soon as we got up to our room, our major disappointments started. This hotel must have been beautiful once, but by now, everything is so worn and old, that it needs major remodeling. The room was clean, but it had an unbearable smell of the old rotten house. The room that I paid for 3 people was extremely small; it would have been okay for two, but definitely not for three people. They charged us over $300 per night, but when we saw the condition of the hotel, we couldn't bear a thought of going to spa, pool, sauna, or any other facilities. The atmosphere in the hotel is extremely depressing. All three of us thought that we found ourselves in the nursing home. There was nobody younger than 70-80 years old. When we came to the restaurant for dinner, it felt extremely uncomfortable, as everybody were sitting at their tables and staring at us, like we were aliens. The beds in the room were so hard that all 3 of us thought that we slept on boards. As soon as we got up in the morning, we decided that we need to run from this place to avoid more disappointment and sleeping on this bed again. I have never been in a hotel that is more depressing then this one! Do not recommend! Not to anyone younger than 70 and if you don't care about old house smell."

"It is a very cozy hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The area around the hotel is nicely maintained and clean. Almost all guests were Italiens. The town was pretty closed in week 30 and it was hard to find open restaurants and shops. From week 31 there was more life in the hotel and in the city. The restaurants opened and so did several shops. The life of the city seems adapted to Italy's (for us) late holiday season."

"Old-world spaciousness and classical charm, comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The personnel obviously has a good training and nice, positive attitude. Special thanks to Angelo, who is doing a wonderful job at the front desk and speaks excellent English, and Monica, who does a great job administering mud treatments. These guys do deliver!"

"This town is suitable for folks over 70. There really isn't anything to do here but sit at an ice cream shop or two and walk around the block. The sandwich and pizza joint, Doug, is a good place to grab and cheap and quick bite. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. I really don't see this hotel being rated 4 stars in the states under any circumstances. They lacked basic things like and iron in the rooms. The rooms had a distinct smell familiar to moth balls and the lights were fluorescent!!!!!! What kind of hotel uses fluorescent lighting????"
