"For the price, location, and staff, this hotel is perfect. There were a couple minor issues "No Hot Water" for one morning, but everything else was great. The staff always have a smile, and willing to help. I would definitely return to this hotel."

"I've stayed in many hotels in Thamel, and I found Hotel Buddha Land to be the best value. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms are nice and clean and comfortable. Also the hot water, AC, and WIFI are all super reliable, which is hard to find in Thamel. I highly recommend Hotel Buddha Land!"

"Perhaps if I had stayed in the summer I would have had a very different opinion, but I was shocked to learn that my room didn't have heat. My first two nights were cold - very cold - so I decided to move elsewhere. My room looked *nothing* like the cozy, pleasant rooms pictured in the images on expedia. It was dark, dingy, cement floors, semi dirty linen, and only a small window that looked onto an internal stairway. I have absolutely no idea how this hotel receives such inflated ratings. On the good side, the airport pickup was convenient and free; staff was generally accommodating although I felt like I was expected to tip in a number of places where it wasn't necessary; and on my last morning nobody was awake at 8AM even though I was told breakfast begins at 7:30. Wifi is fast, breakfast was filling when it was available, and there was always someone smiling at the front desk."
