"Located in the Thamel tourist area the hitek is on a quiet street. The rooms are clean and basic...some have 3 single beds, some have a double and single, and some a double/queen bed. Mattresses are hard as in many Asian beds; there are extra blankets in the room and an electric wall heater. The bath was a bit odd with the shower right in bathroom with a shower curtain that I had to back into in order to get under the showerhead. But there was hot water 24 hours a day with good pressure. Breakfast was excellent with hot buffet and granola, yogurt and fruit. The best was the coffee which is made on demand...espresso, latte or black. Staff were very helpful in all areas from front desk to housekeeping. I would definitely stay again. Small tour groups seem to be a staple of the clientele."
